Give your athletes a course file they can trust.

Most athletes follow a mountain race on their watch or bike computer, using the GPX file you publish. We help organizers get that file right.

Athletes race the file you give them

  • Aid stations on the course line at the right distance, with what is there.
  • Important turns marked so athletes see them coming on their watch.
  • Cutoff times written into each checkpoint waypoint.
  • Distances that match the race guide and the aid station table.
  • An elevation profile that matches the ground.
  • Snow and bad-weather reroutes as files of their own.

Plan the course in Traverse

Draw the course on official topo maps, satellite imagery and 3D terrain, snap it to the trails, split it into sections at each aid station, check any GPX before you publish it, and export the finished file for watches and bike computers.

What we do for organizers

  1. A membership to plan with: the Alpine Pack on us while you plan the event.
  2. Help with the GPX file: we check the line, place aid stations, turns and cutoffs with you, and set up waypoints for watches and bike computers.

A public page for your race

We publish your course as a Traverse page with your race name on it, which athletes open in any browser with no app or account.

Tell us about your race

Send your name, email, the race, its website, the kind of race and a few details, and we reply by email.
