Traverse draws every layer on true 3D terrain. Free includes the Traverse, Summer, Winter and Satellite base maps with slope angle, aspect, flat areas, elevation bands, avalanche areas, rockfall, huts and condition reports. Pro adds 31 official national maps, Streets and Thunderforest maps, LiDAR relief, the sunlight simulator, SnowSight recent snow cover and GlacierIQ glacier intelligence.

Terrain overlays

• Slope angle: terrain coloured by steepness, with the 30–45° avalanche band highlighted
• Aspect: the compass direction every slope faces
• LiDAR relief: 1 m IGN LiDAR HD hillshade where published
• Terrain shade: a sunlight simulator for any time of day
