Effective September 30, 2026. This policy covers Traverse for iOS, Apple Watch, and the web, including local planning data, precise location, HealthKit-enabled activity data, account sync, community reports, and backend service requests.

Privacy summary

• Routes, tracks, plans, waypoints, notes, GPX files, and offline regions stay local unless you share, export, or sync them.
• Precise and background location are used only with the relevant permission.
• Traverse does not sell personal data or use precise location, HealthKit data, or route history for third-party advertising.

ChatGPT ad measurement

Traverse uses the OpenAI Measurement Pixel to measure website visits, taps on Traverse App Store download links, and completed web account registrations attributable to ChatGPT ads. The pixel uses first-party attribution and browser cookies lasting up to 30 and 365 days. Measurement is disabled for browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. These event calls do not include email, precise location, routes, GPX, or HealthKit data.
